Willard Richards
Willard Richards claimed that both William Law and Wilson Law were in the mob that killed Joseph and Hyrum Smith. Church historians have made the same claim, just not so directly.
Richards’ claim has since been proven false. Neither William nor Wilson was in the area at the time.
